INSTRUCTORS: Susan Ward (all things quilt) and Lissa Flemming (all things jewelry and PMC).  Susan Ward, an avid quilt maker and designer, brings storytelling and a variety of techniques to her workshops. As a longtime resident of Bayfield, Susan discovered the draw of the north woods and the magic of Lake Superior over forty-plus years ago.

An interest in fiber arts and quilt design began alongside a teaching career, leading to a merging of the two. The intrigue of color and texture, together with the challenge of finding accurate and efficient construction methods, is brought together in her original series of patterns and cutting guides.

When not at her sewing table, Susan enjoys reading, Lake Superior’s many delights, finding time with family and friends, and dreaming up new ways to rethink traditional quilt making.
